??/??/1997 - ??/??/2001 No records as they have unfortunately been lost over time. However, ECWO World Champions consist of Sabu, Tommy Dreamer, Mike Awesome, Lance Storm, The Sandman, Taz, Shane Douglas, Raven, Justin Credible, Rhino, Rob Van Dam just to name a few.
It all started back in 1997 when an ECW tribute fed called the ECWO(Extreme Championship Wrestling Organization) was created. ECWO went on to have an inter-brand war in 1999 with the WCF(World Championship Federation) an upstart company at the time created by Shane McMahon and Triple H. Eventually the two company's would merge and be known as ECWO/WCF, until December, 9th, 2001 when Steve Austin would unify the ECWO and WCF World titles by defeating WCF World Champion at the time, Christian. And thus WCF(World Championship Federation) proved to be the victor of the inter-brand wars and the ECWO was no more. From that point on the WCF would continue to dominate the efed world before finally closing it's doors for a revamp period. Only to reopen some how many ever months later with a new name and attitude known as the ILW(Idaho League Wrestling). That tradition carry's on today with more than nearly 13 years of history.
